The interior of a permanent magnetic separator adopts a composite magnetic system composed of special permanent magnet materials such as "neodymium-iron-boron" (NdFeB) with high coercivity and high remanence. It has the advantages of maintenance-free operation, strong magnetic force, long service life, simple installation, easy use and reliable operation. It is suitable for removing iron from non-magnetic materials on belt conveyors, vibrating conveyors, electromagnetic vibrating feeders and discharge chutes. It can remove ferrous magnetic substances weighing 0.1-35 kilograms, and the service life of the internal permanent magnetic system is more than 10 years. When the permanent magnet adsorbs a large amount of ferrous magnetic substances, they can be removed manually with a non-magnetic scraper or by hand with gloves. It is suitable for continuous operation scenarios with low iron content.
An electromagnetic separator is an electromagnetic device used to remove iron parts from bulk non-magnetic materials. It is generally installed at the head or middle part of a belt conveyor. The strong magnetic force generated after power-on attracts the iron parts mixed in the materials, and then the iron parts are thrown out by the iron-unloading belt to achieve the purpose of automatic removal. It can effectively prevent the longitudinal cracking of the conveyor belt and protect crushers, grinders and other equipment to work normally.
The specific advantages of permanent magnetic separators (compared with electromagnetic separators) are as follows:
As a common equipment in daily work, the proficiency in operating a permanent magnetic separator is directly related to the company's efficiency. Generally speaking, there are two existing operation control modes for permanent magnetic separators: one is the on-site local manual control mode, and the other is the remote automatic control mode through the central control room startup process. Under normal working conditions, the operation of the permanent magnetic separator is set to the automatic control mode. Its operation control methods are as follows:
