WDL Eddy Current Separator

The WDL eddy current separator is composed of two parts: the separator main body and the control cabinet. The main body mainly includes components such as the separation assembly, drive motor, frame, and cover. As the core component of the equipment, the separation assembly consists of a permanent magnet drum and a material conveying system (including a material conveyor belt, conveyor belt drive drum, and reduction motor). It is mainly used for separating and recovering various non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminum from crushed fragments of industrial solid wastes like electronic waste, waste plastic doors and windows, and end-of-life vehicles.

During operation, a high-frequency alternating strong magnetic field is generated on the surface of the separation magnetic roller. When conductive non-ferrous metals pass through the magnetic field, eddy currents are induced in the non-ferrous metals. These eddy currents themselves generate a magnetic field opposite to the direction of the original magnetic field. As a result, the non-ferrous metals (such as copper and aluminum) will leap forward along their conveying direction under the action of the repulsive force of the magnetic field, realizing separation from other non-metallic substances and achieving the purpose of sorting. The main distinguishing criterion is the ratio of the material's electrical conductivity to its density; materials with a higher ratio are easier to separate than those with a lower ratio.
